Journal Exhibition at Asheville BookWorks

A few months ago I was invited to curate an exhibit of journals at Asheville BookWorks, a center for printmaking, papermaking, and artists books in West Asheville, NC.  The show opened last night, and I've posted photographs of one page from each of the journals in the show plus my juror's statement.  Go to the topics pages on the right and you'll find the two installments of the show.

  1. Gwen, thanks for taking the time to snap and post all those pictures.

  2. OK, I had many blogs I intended to peruse, but here you've gone and made me stop at this one for probably a full half hour (or more), awe struck at the journals which I scrolled up and down slowly to look at - twice. And now, of course, I'm going to have to visit the blogs of these masters. Thanks a lot! ;)

I was intrigued by the butter box too, but I'm afraid for my fingers - the fairer sex, you see.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful work.

  3. Apologies, Dan! Hope you visit again though! Re the butter box book, you can use the same instructions to make a larger book: maybe a bisquick box book?

  4. The journals are really terrific. One note, I believe that Andie is from Coloma, CA not CO.
